ALMAY CONTRIBUTES TO REVLON SECOND QUARTER U.S. CONSUMER SALES OF $265.4 MIL., an increase of 17.2% over the prior-year period, the company announced in a July 30 statement of operating results. Revlon noted that its hypoallergenic beauty care line "had excellent results" for the three months. During the quarter, Revlon extended its Almay Clear Complexion line with a cream, a lotion and makeup ("The Rose Sheet" April 29, Marketing In Brief). In February, the company upgraded Almay Amazing Lash mascara, which was first introduced in 1994, with a gel-based, waterproof formula.
