Allou: Expands "The Fragrance Counter" retail online site to IBM's World Avenue Shopping Mall on the World Wide Web Nov. 18, Allou Health & Beauty Care announced. In addition to "The Fragrance Counter's" original site, Allou will use IBM's "marketing muscle" to "substantially increase" its online fragrance and cosmetic sales, the company said. The IBM site offers 700 prestige fragrances; cosmetic products will be added "in the next couple of months," Allou said. Under the deal, IBM will receive a percentage of The Fragrance Counter sales. Allou initially launched "The Fragrance Counter" on America Online in December 1995. At the time, the company said it was "aggressively explor[ing] other areas in the so-called cyberspace arena"...
