Marcus Cosmetics a warning letter Jan. 1, stating that the company's Rubie Glow Cream makeup and Lights Off nail polish are adulterated. Samples of the products taken during Oct. 24 and Nov. 6 inspections were found to contain zinc sulfide, which is not approved as a colorant in cosmetic products, FDA's letter states. A similar notice was sent to the distributor of the products, New Hyde Park, N.Y.-based Rubie's Costume Co., on Jan. 16. According to the distributor, the products have been removed from sale.
