U.S. cosmetic exports: Will exceed $2 bil. for the first time in 1996, CTFA VP-International Louis Santucci predicted at the Feb. 28 business portion of CTFA's annual meeting. Although official numbers have not been released, cosmetic exports are expected to total between $2.1 bil. and $2.5 bil. for the year, an increase of 16.7% to 38.9% from 1995. Exports in 1995 reached $1.8 bil. The predicted rise in exports is a "remarkable increase" over the 1995 figure, Santucci commented.
