Executive Summary

ALPHA HYDROXY ACIDS APPROVED FOR TOXICOLOGICAL STUDY BY NTP, according to a request for data published by the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences' National Toxicology Program in the April 27 Federal Register. The alpha hydroxy acid study will consist of phototoxicity and chronic toxicity testing for glycolic and lactic acids and their salts, and may be expanded to include other AHAs, NTP said.
