Lekkas was recently tapped Sebastian president and chief operating officer after serving as president and managing director of Wella Hellas, in Athens ("The Rose Sheet" April 14, In Brief). His appointment to the head of Sebastian was a natural succession, the firm noted, following Wella's acquisition of the salon products marketer in 1993. Lekkas will continue to head up strategic development and international expansion, but will no longer carry the president and chief operating officer titles. Sebastian generated $130 mil. in sales in 1996; the company expects a 30% increase in 1997.
