Texas FD&C Act: H 492 amendment to expand the definition of "manufacture" to include the "making of any cosmetics product by chemical, physical, biological or other procedures, including manipulation, sampling, testing or control procedures applied to the product" signed into law by Gov. George Bush (R) June 11. Previously, the state FD&C Act only included foods and drugs in the definition of manufacture. The law becomes effective Sept. 1.
