Coty's Waterdance: latest jig is alcohol-free Vanilla Fields flanker.

This article was originally published in The Rose Sheet

Executive Summary

COTY WATERDANCE ALCOHOL-FREE SCENT TARGETING WOMEN WITH SENSITIVE SKIN who may perceive alcohol in fragrances to be an irritant, the company said. While Coty does not plan to make specific sensitive skin claims, the firm noted that in consumer research groups, women often interpreted the water-based scent's natural positioning to mean it would have a gentler, non- irritating effect on skin than alcohol-based scents. The company will preview Waterdance, its newest fragrance collection, in June with trial sizes, followed by a full distribution launch of the eau de toilette line in July. The Waterdance AquaSpray scents are Pure Petal Musk, Sunlit Falls and Tropical Springs.
