In a recent "white paper" sent to FDA lead Deputy Commissioner Michael Friedman, MD, the Cosmetic, Toiletry and Fragrance Association suggests "in light of the large number of personnel involved...FDA may wish to review whether" the color additive batch certification program "continues to represent an appropriate expenditure of agency resources."
