In final stages of agreement to build 25,000 sq. ft. dispatching and logistic unit in Amiens, France, the company announced Sept. 23. The firm expects the FFr 100 mil. project to be completed by 2001. Clarins "embarked months ago on a reflection to optimize its production and storage facilities," the firm explained. The deal affords Clarins the opportunity to free up space in its Pontoise production plant, where the logistic unit is currently based, to expand production lines and increase its capacity three-fold.
