Karen Elliott appointed president of newly created fine fragrance team at the fragrance developer. For the past seven years, Elliot has served as the division's VP. Mike Sweeney joins the team after 12 years at International Flavors & Fragrances. Dave Apel, VP-senior perfumer fine fragrance, brings more than 10 years of experience at Givaudan-Roure to the firm. The team will coordinate fine fragrance efforts from Europe and New York and will use the Manhattan Creative Center - which opened in May - as its base. Separately, Melissa Montfort assumes the position of Fragrance Resources director of marketing with offices in Paris and Barcelona after four years as a project manager. The fragrance house has developed Christian Dior's Dolce Vita, the new Brooks Brothers signature scent and several Victoria's Secret fragrances
