Executive Summary
Senate moving forward with negotiations on nomination of Jane Henney, MD, as FDA commissioner, with possible unanimous consent vote before Oct. 20. In ongoing negotiations between the Administration and Senate Majority Whip Don Nickles (R-Okla.) on several issues, it is understood that Henney has agreed not to actively seek out a manufacturer for the abortifacient RU-486, if confirmed.
