Eighty percent of consumers are "somewhat" or "very" concerned about the safety of sunscreens, according to a recent survey sponsored by Wainscott, N.Y.-based zinc oxide manufacturer SunSmart. The survey, completed in January, was conducted for the company in a number of locations across the U.S. by an outside market research firm. Three thousand people responded to the written questionnaire.
