Executive Summary
Longstemmed Lashes Mascara contains positively charged ingredients which react with negatively charged eyelashes to "improve adhesion while building the base," Clinique claims. A magnetic effect between apple extract and chitin and eyelashes "creates super-long and feathered lashes" that are clump-, spike- and flake-free, the Estee Lauder company said. Wheat protein, beeswax and polymers condition while adding shine, body and length. The result is a mascara that "acts like hair extensions for your lashes," Clinique said. Longstemmed Lashes' brush wand design also offers a technological advantage with hollow fibers that uniformly "filter and distribute" the formula, to "feather and define" lashes. Available in Black and Black/Brown, Longstemmed resists humidity, smudges, tears and perspiration. The mascara debuts in October for $11.50
