Executive Summary
Second quarter sales from NuSkin personal care division totaled $107.6 mil., down 6% on reported basis but up 5% in constant currency terms. Contributing to local sales gain was Galvanic Spa System, an in-home, two-step facial skin treatment system launched in the U.S. in February and Japan in March. System generated sales of over $6 mil. during its first five months, firm says. Overall company sales in North America fell 10% to $38.6 mil. in the period. NuSkin announced management restructuring during quarter aimed at simplifying operations and establishing "clear strategy to bring new momentum to the U.S." As part of reorganization, Scott Schwerdt, former chief operating officer for Big Planet, is named U.S. general manager, a new position
