Skin care experienced a "moderate" sales increase, posting $1.8 bil. in sales, while fragrance category declined over last year, generating $2.9 bil., NPD said. Gift sets had greatest impact on fragrance sales, accounting for 37% of the category, while representing a fast growing segment in makeup and skin care, up 23% and 17% for the year, respectively.
