" California Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment planning July 1 public hearing in Sacramento on amendments to regulations governing the process by which businesses can request the assurance and advice of the office regarding product compliance with Prop 65. Known as a safe use determination, the process so far has not been widely used in part due to concern that an SUD request may invite service of a 60-day notice of violation on the requester by a private party.
