Executive Summary

Paris-based luxury fragrance company purchased by beauty firm Cradle Holdings, firm announces Jan. 23. Acquisition adds to Cradles Erno Laszlo and Penhaligon's brands. L'Artisan portfolio includes perfumes, candles and room sprays distributed primarily in France and the UK through free-standing stores. Line also is available in the U.S. in Bergdorf Goodman and Barneys. Thirty-year old firm is headed by Marie Dumont, who will continue to lead the business with Cradle's management team, including CEO Robert Nielsen and President and Chief Operating Officer Jane Terker.
