Gucci Group beauty division sales declined 3.5% to $191.3 mil. (€1=$1.23) in the fourth quarter due to weak holiday season without a fragrance launch and "aggressive media advertising by competitors," firm says. Sales of makeup and skin care, however, grew 9.6% and 25.3% on a constant currency basis fueled by strong products and improved positioning in key points of sale, the company adds. For the full year, YSL Beauté sales increased 2.6% to $755.6 mil. Division operating profit before goodwill and trademark amortization and restructuring expenses fell 21.2% to $13.8 mil. for the quarter and was down 49.2% to $25.7 mil. for the year.
