Janet Cook will retire as president of Estee Lauder North America effective this fall, company announces July 19. Exec, who currently oversees Estee Lauder brand in the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico, has worked for the firm for more than 25 years, joining in 1977 as a Clinique account executive. She has served in many roles at Lauder, moving up the ranks through the Clinique, Aramis and Estee Lauder brands. Cook was appointed senior VP and general manager of Estee Lauder in 2002 and shortly after, president.
