Executive Summary
Net revenues advanced 22% to $71 mil. in the first quarter, attributed to a 29% increase in prestige products sales, Inter Parfums reports April 19. Prestige product revenues were driven by the geographic rollout of Burberry Brit for Men, as well as the expanded distribution of Burberry Brit Red in both Burberry stores and select specialty stores, company adds. Sales of the new Celine Fever fragrance and the addition of the recently-acquired Nickel men's skin care business also boosted performance. Mass market sales, however, declined 16%, the firm notes. At comparable foreign currency exchange rates, net sales for Q1 grew 20%. Management also reaffirmed prior 2005 guidance, anticipating net sales will be up 19% to $280 mil.
