Cooperation between the Interagency Coordinating Committee on the Validation of Alternative Methods and the European Centre for the Validation of Alternative Methods for developing animal alternative tests for cosmetics "needs further strengthening through bilateral contacts with the aim of mutual acceptance of alternative methods," U.S. and European Commission regulatory authorities maintain during a June 20 summit in Washington, D.C.
