Research Institute for Fragrance Materials Scientific Director Anne Marie Api, PhD, is appointed VP, Human Health Sciences, RIFM announces April 3. Api, who joined the group in 1984, "has grown the human health safety program from routine short-term testing considerations to longer-term strategic methods and has been influential in implementing the group summary approach to fragrance ingredients," RIFM notes, adding she also is a "key developer of the dermal sensitization Quantitative Risk Assessment methodology, which will be used in future" International Fragrance Association standards.
