Executive Summary
Organic revenue growth for the luxury firm's perfume and cosmetics division grew 15% to $902.4 mil. (€1=$1.36) during the first quarter of fiscal year 2007 based partly on strong sales of Christian Dior skin-care and fragrance, company reports April 25. The growth in the division is "much better than the performance of the industry overall," the French firm states. The "continued success" of J'adore and Miss Dior Chérie contributed to Christian Dior's growth, as did the launch of a men's fragrance, Fahrenheit 32. Rouge Dior lipstick and Capture skin care continued to drive revenue, firm adds. Among other LVMH brands, Guerlain had success with its Insolence fragrance and Terracotta makeup.
