Berjé acquires Whole Herb

Essential oils and aroma chemicals distributor Berjé has purchased Whole Herb Company, a supplier and distributor of botanicals, extracts and other items for the spa product and herbal supplement market. The buy will allow Berje to offer its customers an expanded palette of products and to maintain competitive pricing, according to the Feb. 11 release. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Whole Herb, based in Sonoma, Calif., has a "business philosophy and culture that fits very closely with Berjé's" the acquirer says. CEO Kim Bleimann expands: "Like Berjé, Whole Herb Company cultivates direct, personal relationships with carefully selected growers to insure the potency, purity and consistent results that our customers need.
