Arden: Net sales in the fiscal 2010 third quarter advanced 6.7% - 2.1% excluding the favorable impact of currency translation - to $217 mil., fueled by the performance of core brands, including Elizabeth Arden branded products and Juicy Couture and Britney Spears fragrances, company says May 6. President and CEO E. Scott Beattie noted the firm continues to see consistent improvement in its U.S. mass fragrance business, which experienced sales growth of 7.6% for the quarter ended March 31. International sales increased 13.5%. Despite positive movement, Arden posted a $3.9 mil. net loss for the quarter, compared with a $3.7 mil. loss in the prior-year period. For the full year, the company expects to grow sales 2.5% to 3.5% and has raised its EPS guidance to $0.69 to $0.76, from a previous estimate of $0.63 to $0.73
