ICMAD announces Young Designers Competition

Executive Summary
Six schools will join the 2010 Young Designers Competition to showcase the talent of students studying package design. Included are The School of Art Institute of Chicago (Chicago), The American Academy of Art (Chicago), Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (Los Angeles), Fashion Institute of Technology (New York), Miami International University of Art & Design (Miami) and the Academy of Art University (San Francisco). Each participant will be given an 8-oz. recycled tube and asked to create a body-care product, assigning brand, product name, descriptive copy and net weights. Winners will be announced on September 29 at an ICMAD-hosted dinner in New York. Prizes of $2,500, $1,500 and $1,000 will be awarded for first, second and third place, respectively
