Cosmetic products recalled, banned or otherwise identified as risks were less reported than clothing items, toys, electrical appliances and motor vehicles in Europe last year. Notifications distributed through the EU’s RAPEX rapid-alert system were up 3.8% overall, with the majority of reported products traced to China, the European Commission says.
