Dr Sabine Straus has been elected chair of the European Medicines Agency’s (EMA’s) Pharmacovigilance Risk Assessment Committee (PRAC) for a three-year term beginning on 3 September 2018. She replaces Dr June Raine, who will retire as chair in September after serving two threeyear mandates (OTC bulletin, 14 September 2012, page 30).
