OTC Supply Bottlenecks Ahead, Warns Europe's Largest Online Pharmacy
Europe's largest e-commerce pharmacy Zur Rose predicts an OTC supply bottleneck down the line as the region's consumer health industry struggles to meet the demand resulting from Covid-19.

Europe's largest online pharmacy is calling for online sales of OTC medicines to be allowed in its home market Switzerland, to increase the supply of crucial products to help people manage the symptoms of COVID-19, such as headaches, fever, diarrhoea, coughs, colds or nausea.
France limits OTC sales of paracetamol to one pack per person with no Covid-19 symptoms and two packs for those with pain and/or fever. Online sales of medicines containing paracetamol, ibuprofen and/or aspirin are also now suspended.
In response to the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic in Europe, the region's self-care industry is working hard to keep shelves stocked with crucial OTC medicines, food supplements and self-care medical devices, according to the AESGP.
